Ethylene cracking furnace is a new generation burner developed by our company. It has the characteristics of low carbon, environmental protection and reliable operation. Ethylene cracking furnace is a chemical reaction furnace, and the medium is directly cracked through the catalyst in the furnace tube. The pyrolysis of macromolecular compounds requires higher temperature, therefore, the furnace temperature of ethylene cracking furnace is generally greater than about 1150 °C, and the furnace tube is required to be heated evenly. In order to achieve the above characteristics, the cracking furnace generally adopts multiple burners arranged at the bottom and side walls. The bottom burner can generally burn gas or combined oil and gas, accounting for 70% of the calorific value. The side wall burner is a flameless burner, and the flame is attached to the furnace wall in a disc shape.


The new type of bottom burner of cracking furnace jointly developed by our company and Beijing Petroleum University has been applied in the old ethylene cracker in Maoming, and achieved good results.

The original design load of H-116 is 19.3t/h for pyrolysis naphtha, 20.3t/h for pyrolysis hydrogenation tail oil, and 18.77t/h for pyrolysis diesel, but in actual operation, H-116 feed load is only It is 85~90% of the design load. If the load exceeds 90%, the convection section of H-116 will be overheated seriously, and the burner will not be able to burn stably, which will seriously affect the safe operation of the cracking furnace. After the H-116 was replaced with a new burner, the first operation cycle tried to increase the load of the cracking furnace to 19.3 t/h, and the second cycle increased the load to 19.6 t/h. The amount reduces the exhaust gas temperature. The thermal efficiency of H-116 is higher than 93.5%, which is 0.5~1% higher than that before the burner is replaced, and the scorching period is greatly prolonged.
